I must keep my position in seas I tried them side by side and the CA RLY is in fact a smaller voicecoil the older RNX ,that makes a better player in mids and has about the same bass as the peerless

Thanks guys for the information and the tips . I have looked at all the Manufacturers' data for the Peerless 850122 and also XT18WH09 ; two SEAS :- CA18RNX and CA18RLY , and I see zaphaudio has tests on both of these ! I looked also at Scan-Speak 18W/8531 and 18S/8531 - very interesting idea the "sliced" cones - has any-one tested these or tried them ? , thanks again Alan .
