I want to try this but do I wire drivers as usual (red on red, black on black so in phase) or in opposition (red on black for one driver)
?????? yes I know this is a stupid question but I've seached and no answer....

You wire the drivers in opposite phase so
cone movement is in the same direction. ![]() |

Come to think of it, what would happen the other way around? It would become a quadropole, right? I'm not saying it would be good, I just wonder what would happen with the directivity and frequency response.

Yes, it's probably a bad idea, I was just thinking that whatever little that comes out of it could be even more directed than from the dipole.
I think I heard of the opposite once, ie a quadropole microphone. It would be something they used in helicopters to supress ambient noise. Ah, well... |
