Samuelj; I just had a thought. I am posting here for all to see instead of a PM. Motus has some really nice looking drivers; they seem to be very well designed and built. Solen usually stocks them, Meniscus had some as well but I don't think the entire Motus line up.

This UH 205 might do nicely; either closed or vented. Linear X +/- 8 mm; MAX +/- 25,2 mm!!! Maybe use with a large format tweeter or AMT. If I were doing a 2-way with these I would look at these tweeters for starters:

I did read somewhere that the Motus tested very well and there are some successful designs using it. I though of two in parallel but they are 6 Ohm so maybe the combination could drop below 3 Ohms at the minimum. Some D class amps could handle 2 Ohms but most A/B class amps don't like anything much lower than 4 Ohms min.

Wow, that is a 6kg monster that seem to have lot of potential. On paper everything seems awesome.
This being an underhung motor should perform better than an overhung one with 8mm xmax. Scanspeak illuminator would claim this with 12mm xmax!
Will look for reviews. Hope not too pricey!

I looked on Solen.ca just now. They are not showing stock right now. I think they (Motus) have an office in Cincinnati? Maybe call Meniscus; ask for Mark, ask if they can get these in stock and pricing maybe? I think Solen had them about $300 Canadian??? I will also look for builds and reviews...My Google CHROME hosed for some reason today but Opera, MS Edge all work...VERY WEIRD!!!
