Noob question about crossovers and impedance

I'm in the process of designing my first crossover using an article about passive crossover design on audiojudgement.com and VituixCAD software.

There's one "detail" I can't gat my head around.
I intend to use two drivers (a low/mid and a tweeter), both with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. At the amp side of the XO, both channels of the XO are wired in parallel. Does this mean the amp will see a 4 ohm load?

No, it does not. But that's a common worry, you aren't alone. :)

The crossover works by raising the impedance outside of the operating band of the woofer and of the tweeter. Where they aren't being used, their impedance is very high, so overlapping them isn't a problem.

If you play around a bit with simulations you'll quickly see this.
