Proac crossover

I took off the amplitude-frequency response, in the area of the tweeter the difference is 2dB.

First 2db is going to be barely audible, if at all.

Second, depending on how you got your measurements, that variation could also be from mic positioning, the room, where you were standing, when you took the readings and a dozen other causes.

If you sit in your sweet spot, do they sound okay?
If they do, relax and enjoy the music.

Box for Jeff Bagby pdf.

Jeff Bagby seemed to think you need to take care of the mids enormous Fs, with a parallel resistor. There is also some unpleasant looking breakup on the waterfall around 4.5kHz, so the resistor might help there too. The Volt 752 is remarkably similar to the 9 ohm ATC unit.

Wilmslow Audio did something similar:

It's a long time ago, but I was unconvinced you need to do much to the crossover at all when changing drivers to the 9 ohm version. But best to sim it. It might just be that the Monitor balance is a bit too flat for domestic use.

Hello

this is my version of the upgrade I made for a dear friend!!!

capacitors clarity ESA cap 250V and Wicon (for me the best electrolitic capacitors ever made)

Coil by jantzen and mundorf resistors

(25uf= 22uf+2,7uf / 9uf= 6,8uf + 2,2uf)

after assembly I checked the frequency response with the clio system

the correct tweeter polarity is that in the diagram

the sound has improved a lot (in my opinion) both on the details and on the articulation
