I don't suggest that 4500Hz is a 'good' crossover point, only you can decide what is 'good' by experiment. It does, however produce less overlap with the main speaker than your suggested 2000Hz. The crossover frequency of 4500Hz is also achievable using standard values of capacitor and inductor. If you play with the crossover calculator you will see that only certain crossover frequencies match with standard C and L values. An even higher crossover frequency may be preferable, and you did say you were happy with the sound when crossed over with the 'Aperion internals' at 8000Hz. Experimentation is required here so have fun!
