Visaton does make it very convenient to design speakers by providing the software and supplying data for their drivers.

I wonder why more people don't build speakers like this?
Visaton is out of fashion..

According to my experience, Al 170 is the wrong choice if one wanted good bass foundation. Much better is Al 200 or even better for the budget, W170S/W200S.

I've had a dual AL170 for years (2.5-way), tuned to 34 Hz if I recall. It did quite well in the bass department.

As for BoxSIM: it is quite a nice tool, but the interface is outdated, and if you actually want international customers, you should make sure that there actually is an up-to-date English version as well (why have multiple versions anyway..).

I listen one AL200 from this topic now, and I had AL170_B80 few years ago..
THD of AL200 rising above 400-500Hz, and I need it clear until 1kHz..for pair of AL200 I need 90-100L minimum, pair of AL170 ‘only’ 50-60.. so, AL170 is better choise for me..
I listened W170/200S, measured them too.. very good, but not excellent..

Hi thanx for sharing your project. I looked it as example.

I am working with Visaton W250+W170+SC10N, but I don't understand how to fix crossover. I optimized it for my box, but it showed some weird values, probably needs cleaning up etc.

I attached it to here. If you or someone has to time to look it up.
