I want to use the Peerless XT25BG60-04 ring radiator tweeter in a small synergy horn, crossed over to the mid range drivers around 1500Hz.
I tried to sim a horn in Hornresp but I always get a falling response which is down about 15dB at 20kHz. The only way I can get almost no frequency drop is by applying a 1/8 compression ratio. The SD of the tweeter is 8.2 cm2 and if I make S1 start at 1cm2 I get a nice response. But I doubt the tweeter will be able to withstand such high compression.
Does anybody have pointers or successful examples of this tweeter or other dome tweeters in horns/synergy horns?
