Less precise sound on the mid/low side. Bass will suffer the most ofcourse. (If ported enclosure)
If not ported the lower end will suffer stil but not as bad. Overall: Bad idea. Two woofers sharing same cabinet, same room is almost always a bad idea.

If you want the same sound quality you need twice the cabinet volume for 2x woofers.
If the woofers are identical, then there is no problem sharing the same cabinet.
Don't forget to re-tune the port for the increased box volume and you need larger port area for the increased air movement.
If you using passive crossover you need to adjust it too.
If done properly, you get increased dynamics and max SPL if your amp has enough muscle for that.
