I going to redo a very badly constructed wall, and thougt of making a rather big seal cabinet (approx 3500l).
Currently I running a open baffle setup (JBL2225 + fostex FE206E with active XO and some eq) and I like the free airy charasticits very much.
Will the huge sealed cabinet also have this sound
I've been able to find sites descriping subwoofers being build this way, but my concer is the midrange which no of the sites address, or do I just need a two day google course?

And is it better to leak into the room where the sound should end up or the room on the other side of the wall?
Enuff to make sure there is No change in pressure in the cavity... the bass would go lower if it was the other room... (a big double chamber box )

I considered the hinges, but dismissed that idea again due to lack of skill and knowledge.
I goning to build a new wall no matter what, because it messing up the bass response of every system I've had (even OB), so I might as well try the IB.
I just wanted some indications of what I could expect.
