Default Failing at this!

Has anyone used these CPBP (Cardas Patended Binding Post)

I have a pair I'm trying to solder the wire on the inside of the post as the instructions say and I'm obviously doing it wrong because the wire does not stay.

Also ruining the posts in the process.

Any tips?

Cool retro teaching video!

I tend to tin the wire first to ensure a good heat transfer and avoid dry joints with these types of connection, and I like to see the solder flow up the wire so that I know there is a good bond.
