Headed my way for use in OB. This look ok for an NF or am I way off base?

A few 8" dipole designs have CLEVER baffles. Real wood can make a basic design pleasant .. instead of RED, image natural wood grain H-frame.

These are on the simple side and wondering if the TB is going to be an upgrade.

As for the 1808 being an upgrade, I like this driver and have since decided not to use a ‘super tweeter’ with it. I listen to it playing without filters with a (red) H-frame supporting the bass. Personally, I think the driver is a bit ‘hot’. Curious how you like the speakers with the downfiring woofer? I think it’s an elegant design.

There are a few threads on adding a high frequency contour network you can search. Some TB W8-1808 users suggest using a parallel 2.4mh and 9 ohm contour network for HF-equalization in series with the amp.

I've looked at that thread and have the pieces on hand to make that work but it looks as though on paper it destroy's the top.

Godzilla, since I've put 50w to the woofers instead of 3 it's made a huge improvement. Didn't think I would ever chase bass quality but I now want to try 300w and possibly some different woofers. Using Alpha 15a's now.

They sound good out of the box. It's a bit early seeing as though I have an hour on these but, they sound as good as my AN 10's I've tweaked endlessly. Listening low volume acoustic music.

I've applied a notch and something about it I find hard to explain. There's a delicacy to these as they approach each note, a softness if you will but the detail is very nice. Plenty of volume with the SE 45's. After a few hours, I'll introduce them to a few more watts.

My 1st measurement. My connections from PC to preamp may be right or may be wrong. after 2 days of fiddling around with this, I finally got something. Have no idea what it means though?

looks like a bump from 1-3khz peaking around 1.7khz. Looks like that section needs to be trapped a bit more

Try adding info on measurement conditions like time window, microphone and speaker placement, near field measurement. Make a gated measurement of 5 and 20 ms, 1 m away. If you can perform TSP evaluation, please do, and an Impedance graph od the unit in a box.

They are Pass OB. I'm a real rookie at this. Took me 2 days just to figure out how to get a measurement.

The above measurements were taken with the mic in the listening position. This is with the mic 8" from a speaker.

Another question. When satisfaction sets in how is the information applied so it stays in place?

I could go on and on and suppose I am. I was getting plenty of noise thru the speakers with the y cable on the preamp in so I switched them to the phono preamp out noise is absent.
