alpha 15 a and dayton audio ps 220-8 open baffle

i would like to try an Eminence alpha 15 A and a dayton audio ps 220-8 on an open baffle driven by a 60 watt per channel Kt 88 pull pull valve amp . should it be safe to run with no cross over ? should I protect the 8" driver ? Thank you for the help I dont want to blow it... all the horns i have tried are just too much also considering the tang band W8 1808

It will be safe but far from ideal, the balance will be off and you will loose the main benefit of a fullrange driver over the majority of the audio range.

...just talk to each driver before use and ask kindly to work in the preferred passband.
As speakers are also microphones, they could hear you.
