Default appropriate cap for Allegro 8" + Foster horn ?

would a modern film cap without a small series resistor be too bright? (there's some Chinese "Audiophiler" 3.3uF laying around which measure well and may tend to sound "hard")

I'd like to make these things last - - the back is removable, woofer motor is alnico, the Foster horn's network is a small air-coil and electrolytic cap (may have to remove to read its label) - sound is still pleasant considering the age and flexy particleboard box
