Are there currently available Successor for Focal 5K013L or 5K4211 ?

For repair an old loudspeaker equipped with this drivers and burned voice coils I want to have a replacement or an address, who is able to replace the cone unit include voice coil.

A successor from mechanical view is the Fane Studio 5FRK - go to
http://www.fane-international.com/downloads/Fane Studio 5FRK DS030513.pdf
But what about changing in the sonic character?
Any experiences?

Describe what you are doing (document your project)...
0. Reference of the original driver. Focal...?
1. Speaker is a 2-way, 3-way or other.
2. Do you have pictures? Does it have a tweeter? Does it have a woofer? Is it a D'Appolito, more info... references for the crossovers, lower and above.
3. If enclosure for the driver describe it. If a sealed or reflex and the internal net volume and size of port (length & diameter).
4. Do you have an exterior mounted mid-woofer or internal mounted, with what diam? (ex. most externals are ~115mm cut dimension). Is this you call the mechanic fitting above??? ""A successor from mechanical view""
Sorry for all these questions but you are asking for help for something that is in your possession. :)
I notice you got an offer from another member... hope you get lucky.

Have you read post #1?
Is my english so bad?
BTW "A successor from mechanical view" means follow:
1) exact same outer sizes (same basket) and
2) exact same mounting hole diameter
Hi.
If it would help, I have probably got a pair of these up in the loft, willing to sell at a reasonable price.
Regards.
Thank you for this information. Please check the condition and age of both devices and let me know your offer. My email address is follow:
kirschner-hifiQweb_de (please replace "Q" and "_" trough the correct signs).

5K4211 vs. 5K013L

Both of the chassis have exact same measures of 136x136 mm,
so the probability that the screw holes are exactly the same, is
very high. Regarding TS parameters, these units seem to be
interchangable without further worries.

TBH, tiefbassuebertr speaks a language entirely of his own. I always later regret getting involved in his threads.

I never know what he is on about really.

I suppose he is some self-described expert on fixing old speakers, who actually gets his knowledge by rudely demanding answers at this forum from a few who actually do understand the issues.

This Focal drive unit issue is really about finding a suitable flat 5" driver to fix his current project.

The Aria 5 Daline is a relatively uninteresting MTM project, except that it was designed by the original inventor of the whole MTM genre, Joe D'Appolito. If I was looking for a suitable 5" replacement, it might be this:

German guy,
Hi,
Each of my questions have it's own reason,
If you don't mind, it happens that instead of asking one by one I asked you a few, I don't see what's has to do you say you already answer. Generally speaking, again, if you don't mind, I only asked you what was your original driver to check a compatible ELECTRICAL and T/S not only mechanical. Just to make sure. I didn't check but I guess the Fane doesn't work. But if you tell me the Volume and tuning I can say - and also the type of speaker (sealed or BR) (meaning an alignment with a certain driver and it's Q). PS. NPI - I'm not making fun of you only that a lot of members don't give enough tech details besides what is obvious that is the colour and price of their speakers (subjective to be sincere).

The first priority can be the T/S parameters for some, but in this case it's the superficial looks. Am I wrong?

Hi.
I can only check at the weekend, I will do so and let you know.
Regards.

Happy to say that I've found the drivers, they are the 5k013L they seem in very good condition. Measure 6.3 Ohm and 6.1 Ohm.
I will post pics later today.
I must say that I don't think that the original poster has been vague at all, I do on the other hand find some of the replies, less than helpful.

These older Kevlar drivers are the precursor to the Utopia range, (They use cheaper fiberglass mat)I have used a number over the years and other than PHL's find them great.
Back with some pics later.
Best.

Focal Polykevlar drivers

Pictures as promised.
As for price, just out to help a fellow enthusiast. Please suggest a figure.
I have a few other drivers that I will also be listing later.
Best.

Refurbishing Voice Coil of 5K4211 for KRK 13000B (Mid Field Monitor)

A friend of me have the above mentioned model from KRK - go to
http://www.krksys.com/documents/13000b_spec_sheet.pdf
KRK 13000B Studio Monitors Pair Speakers Music Recording | eBay

Voice coil is damaged (hard distortion while reproduction).

Are there companies, which are able to perform a voice coil repair ?
Thank you for advices.

NOS offers of this focal driver like this one under
Focal JM Lab 5K4211 Polykevlar Tief Mitteltöner KRK 13000B RARITÄT matched pair
are very rare unfortunately.

For repair of an old Focal Point Source Aria Five (from 1993, Manfred Zoller HiFi Design)
I want to know the difference between this two chassis models.
5K013L is to find here:
404 Not Found
(4) FOCAL Kevlar 5K013L midbass - diyAudio
Pair of FOCAL 5K013L 5K4211 5.25 inch woofer midrange | eBay
5K4211 is to find here:
http://www.diyparadiso.com/datasheets/speaker/focal/5K4211.jpg
Sprzedam FOCAL 5K4211 Polykevlar woofer-midrange Piaseczno 400 PLN
Again I have this model from a friend with damaged voice coils.
There are now two posibilities:
sending to Focal for repair for 120,-- € (5K013L) resp. 100,--€ (5K4211) or replace by the successor with polyglass diaphragm, model 5V4411 - go to
https://site.diy-loudspeakers.com/i.../recent_focal_drivers/FOCAL_WOOFER_5V4411.pdf
Which of this both possibilities is the best choice?
Thanks for advices.
