Recently finished a build based on Mark K’s ER18DXT. Here’s a visual blog for anyone planning on this build. Hope it helps with your own modifications.
ER18DXT: Overview

My gratitude to Mark K for sharing this design. The speakers sound amazing!
Here’s Mark’s website:
The Seas ER18DXT ported two way

This is my third DIY build after full range Fostex ff125wk in planet10 GR box and Jim Holtz Statement Monitors.

Jim Holtz Statement Monitors.

First thing I noticed about ER18DXT is how effortlessly they play. My girlfriend’s comment was, “These sound light!”
The Statement Monitors have somewhat richer sound but ER18DXT integrate better in my small listening environment.
The Fostex have addictive mid range that is missing in the Statement Monitors. That was one of the reasons to pick the paper cones of the ER18DXT build. If I had a larger room I would’ve tried Jim Holtz’ Finalists.
ER18DXT may sound lacking bass extension at low listening levels. I supplement it with a small sub. If you crank the volume up the need for sub disappears.
One thing you immediately fall in love is female voices. Complex orchestra could be challenging. Probably needs a better sub.

Overall a simple and very satisfying build. Thanks again!
