I have an Orion HCCA 12d subwoofer and i blew one of the voice coils on it i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to go about getting this fixed or how i could fix it myself? I have read about replacing voice coils on some sites but i couldn't find one that talked about dual voice coil subs.
I found this pdf from Orion.

At the end of page 5 was a contact number. If that doesn’t work, than you’re probably out of luck. Here is what’s there:
“For more information or assistance see your local Authorized ORION dealers or call ORION’s technical support at 1-480-705-5600.”

unless it's an expensive JBL driver it's often easier just replacing the unit.
i have repaired voice coils in my KEF B139 drivers -- and this is why I continue to use them -- the unit comes apart -- pretty easily allowing access to the voice coil.
the fried point in the wire makes itself pretty apparent.
If you are going to attempt to fix the voice coil yourself make sure you do so in an area in which there are no metal filings -- also - you can use paper as shims to reset the voice coil in the magnet.
