BG Neo 10 (Neo10) vs. Alcons RB401, SA8535, ESS AMT, or Beyma's TPL-150

The most obvious difference from Bohlender-Graebener's Neo10 to the other in the headline mentioned HF ribbons is the lower efficiency (disadvantage) and the extended frequency aera down to 300 Hz (advantage).

Thus actually I cannot compare this ribbon transducer with all the others.

Nevertheless it would be interesting to know more about the various audible impressions between both categories.

In case of two way systems the low frequency transducer has low requirements concerning the aera between 300 until 1500 Hz by use of the Neo 10. Thus it is more easy to find appropriate bass-driver models therefore.
OTOH - also up to 2000 Hz there are a lot of drivers available with very good acoustical midrange behaviour, even by the '10 and '12 size (Fane's Colossus and Precision Devices' PD series are examples).

So the actually question for me is follow:
Are there residual possible benefits in case of the Neo 10 compared to the other models (from the view of audible perception, not from the view of measured results like THD and frequency response) ?

The increased attenuation in the upper frequency aera is theoretical also a disadvantage (strictly speaking, one must introduce an additional UHF tweeter) but it is not of very great significance in real life without additional tweeter - so I think.

I don't understand your comparison of the Neo10 to all of these other drivers. Neo10 is meant as a mid, from 250-3KHz at most. Other drivers you list are 1KHz crossover and above. What info are you looking for?

Neo10 makes an excellent midrange and the TPL is a great substitute for a compression driver. No experience working with the other drivers.
