Just Constructed an excellent centre speaker and share with you here. It sounds everything clear but not too bright or dark, just sound natural. Bass is punch with a subwoofer ^_^.
Box Construction, blue is a hole for connector box, red are internal bracing to reduce baffle vibration:
Tweeter:
Woofer:
The messy tuning scene:
Final optimized (critical judgement mainly by listening test) circuit on the crossover:
Frequency Reponse in Real Test. About 1 meter far and tested at low SPL:
Nearfield low frequency response in Real Test (mic very near to driver and port):
Combined nearfield low frequency response in Real Test (the mic is between woofer and port):
Impedance with and without (about 50~70%) dacron filling:
Port length is about 60mm in these test, it can be longer, say 120mm, adjust it by your taste ^_^.

My father just did it years ago in some of my speakers...for fun....hahaha
Ya, that would be really creepy.
Nice job Alvis. Is this your bedroom?
Hi, Ya, it is my bedroom.
Just a reminder:
If you are going to copy my design, you may not be able to find the same horn as it was bought in China, in this case you may order one from PartsExpress but just don't buy those long horn as the delay will make it sucks. My suggestion is to get the shortest horn. For long horn, you may suffer from delay distortion when tuning your crossover. To balance the delay for long horn with passive crossover, you will feel an extreme pain as it is nearly impossible to be perfectly balanced. Using horn is quite tricky ^_^.

the horn looks like an HO7E,
could you give us a few physical dimensions to see if we have an equivalent?
Hi Kahooli,
You may try Selenium HM17-25 or similar. It could be easier to find.
