Hi,

I will presentate my 2010 project en big monitor that I named monitor-XL.

After failing to get subbase with a backloaded horn.http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/170024-project-presentation-horn-almighty.html I became to make a basreflex two way that is flat down to 30Hz that is what I need with popmusic.

The project was realized in two weeks and I spend three-quarter of a year to tweak measurements and listening test to come to a high quality result.

92dB 1W/mtr 25Hz-20kHz

Super linearity and THD figures.


THD bleu second harmonic red third harmonic. Measured at about 1W with my ucd-class-d power amplifier.
up to 1kHz about -40dB= 0,01% and above 1kHz about -60dB=0,0001%.

Channel similarity.


See line of left and right channel and grey line minimum phase.

And the other spl measurement the stereo MLS result measured on listening position.

Nice looking speaker build, what drivers are you using ?
 
Nice looking speaker, I like the single angled side for horizontal placement, looks pretty cool.

Any chance you could show us what the crossover looks like?

That is the knowledge and secret of the smith, it was a lot of effort and not a difficult design.

But listening change listen measure for about 9 month. That is where you can have good results when you invest time in your XO.

That confuses me i will be wrong then.
I can test with dB levels or let show the thd in % with the MLS software and did a quick check then, I would have to repeat it to be sure where I went wrong.
