That top measurement is BMS 4538? On JMLC-1000? I know this thread is so old but seems that stuff is still available-and the measurement is quite ripple free for a horn. VERY ripple free, which my superstition (driven by an old paper about cepstral analysis) says means better time domain response...

Yes 4538. This is me who made measurement and I still have data if someone need.

I'm using the BMS Coax CD and it can play clean down to 450hz behind a SEOS 24.

How high up in frequency does that go? Have you ever made measurements? I'm very curious.

They're on an old laptop somewhere, but it was close to 20k. They don't sound dull(or bright) by any means.

I can't see the images you have cross-posted. Do you have a link to the original post? Or can you post it again with freshly loaded images?

I think I figured out what the issue is. From what I've heard, people can't see links from imgur unless they have an account.

Alternatively, the poster (me) can modify the URLs.

I've started modifying my URLs going forward. But if you can't see the pics I post, try signing up for an imgur account and see if that helps. It takes all of two minutes to sign up.

I don't get why anybody would want Funktion One copies like these:

The originals sound terrible IMO.
Oddly enough they are kinda ok about 30deg off axis but on axis the sound is just really bad.

Res2 aint that balanced directivity wise, midrange narrows from 2k, xo point is 5.77k and tweeter is wide

The ones I heard were either Res 2 or 4 in open air.
Wasn't a problem of directivity/level. On axis the upper mids sounded strangely distorted and much cleaner off axis.

I have no reason to doubt directivity issues but it still was clearly audible distortion that is my issue with them.
