Aluminum voice coil former glue?

Hi,

I've got some Morel CDM-54 midrange dome driver, which made buzzing noises when it played 2khz tone.

I've took it apart to look what is wrong with it, and found that the voice coil is not attached well to the aluminum former.

What glue should i use?

A rubberized Cyanoacrylate (CA) glue is what was originally used; use Loctite 4204 or a similar product from Hernon (Quantum 134A). Small bead required - bead diameter should be around 0.2-0.3mm maximum.

Done this with cyanoacrylate, so far it works fine.

What is the bead and where should i put it? The only thing that rise in my mind about "beads" is the ferrite beads used in electronics for HF noise filtering.
Probably the decorative beads may work too, depending on application requirements

The bead he is reffering to is the glue. When you apply it you are "laying the bead".

Ah, ok then! There was almost no gap between the coil and former, much less than 0.1mm.
