Klipsch "K" Horn

I'd listen to the Khorn in mono. Can't imagine it wouldn't sound great.

The Klipsch forum gives high praise to the "newer" theater series horn speakers. Improved efficiency, and improved sound quality.
--Jubliee folded horn woofer using either dual 12" or dual 15" drivers. There are Klipsch AES papers online.
--K402 ABS plastic 2" entry horn. Tractrix with rounded mouth exit edges.
--A Danley Synergy horn has also been constructed using the Klipsch K402

The Jubliee bass horn has be used with the more recent SEOS24 waveguide, often with coaxial compression drivers like the 1.4" BMS 4594Nd.

The 2" BMS 4592Nd coaxial compression driver has been used with the K402 horn with positive results.

I'm in the process of replacing the Altec 811B horns with the 511B. Required some woodwork, but the surgery blends in OK. I tested the crossover network on the bench, and it looks much like 500 Hz, as near as I can tell with audio generator and 'scope.

This is the final configuration, I hope.

The larger Altec HF horns balance the mid range much better.

I had to cut off the top and raise the cabinet another 2". It doesn't look too bad..from a distance.
