Default Castle Harlech S1 drivers

Hi

Does anyone know what the correct drive units are for Castle Harlech Series one speakers. It would appear that the tweeter is possibly a metal dome Vifa - any idea which one??. The Harlechs which I bought second hand have incorrect drivers fitted. Does anyone still supply Castle dive units? Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks Memu51

I have the very same speakers so I've just unscrew one tweeter to make sure this is the right one.

Thanks so much for that - I had a feeling it might be that one - someone had fitted a very cheap and nasty mission tweeter although from the front it looked like an upgraded soft dome type!!

Anyone interested in a pair of original Harlech S1 Vifa tweeters? I took them off to upgrade to soft dome ones.

Surely adding soft-domes is a DOWNGRADE.

The original tweeter is metal dome Vifa D25AG-05-06. Google it.

TBH, I suffer a lot of nonsense at this forum. Sorry.

Can you kindly fill me in on your rationale.

Not really. Explain to me why you have a better idea.

Simple, it sounds better. It's not a matter of metal vs soft domes but the quality and end result.
