Have just separated the disconnected 8 ohm voice-coil from a AR2 tweeter from 1974. - Papercone. - three point glued on. - frontwired.

The hight og the coil is 1,6mm - cobberwire thickness is 0,1mm - the two layer cobber-coil on the kapton cylinderform has a thickness of 0,25mm - kapton cylinder outer diameter is 19,2mm - kapton thickness is 0,05mm. - the kapton cylinder hight is 5 mm.

The gap between center pole piece and outer magnet-piece is 1,7mm -
the coil plus the kapton cylinder has a outer diameter of 19,7mm

the tolerance in and out from the voicecoil to the polepiece and to the magnet is : outer diameter 20,4 mm - inner diameter 18,7 = 1,7mm gap. - .... 0,5mm from inside of the kapton cylinder to polepiece and 0,7mm from outside of the coil to the magnetpiece.

Could anyone inform of the thickness of the AR3a 4 Ohm unit cobberwire? The DC resistance should be around 2,9 to 3,4 Ohm or close.

The intention is to wound new tweeter coils for the old AR3a speakers. Frontwired. Any information would be appreciated.

Kim
