is L-PAD attenuator recommended for a 6 1/4 midbass?

Ive ordered a 10 inch Vifa PL26w driver for 4 ohms but It got shipped as 8 ohm driver which is making me a problem to design the crossover ... I have a 4 ohm

Since i need to match the sensitivities I can get down the tweeter sensitivity to the woofer level from 94db to 87db... but how about midrange? I ve seen some threads where one doesnt advice to use a l-pad for a midrange? is it so ? then how do i match the sensitivities of these drivers ...

Another question that i have is that the woofer is said to have 6db more than the mid and tweeters since the room will absorb alot of bass... so do i need to make the sensitivity of the tweeter and the midbass to 81db? since the woofer sensitivity is 87db....

can anybody pls give me the right advice...

Hmmm ..........

The bass driver given its response seems to be suited to a 3 way
of 82dB to 85dB midband / treble depending on BSC amount.

You can L-pad the midrange but you need to include any effects
of the increase in source impedance on the driver Qts and the c/o.
(the same is also true for tweeters)

Alternatively go active bass / mid with more power for the bass,
you could also use active BSC on the mid driver for high efficiency
in the upper midrange and treble (90dB+).

at present I cant afford using two 10 inch drivers per channel to do the job but ofcourse its how I wanted in the beginning but i could go with single driver for now so i think I should be happy with L-pad atten for both mid and tweets what do u say?

Reducing 7db for the tweeter and 4.5 db for midbass would be ok? to match it to 87db woofer?
