I don't think I am going to be very helpful but crossing over in the telephone band is not such a great thing. Our ears are most sensitive in this range. I would suggest a crossover point above 4Khz to eliminate the bad effects of a crossover being in this range. The woofer looks good till 5KHz (in my opinion) if you do think about this. Then the tweeter will definitely be fine with excursion.

The thermal / excursion crosspoint is approx 2600Hz according to my modeling. There's something not quite right with my formulas, as it says the max SPL is limited to 95.7dB... when it is a 96dB/2.83V @ 1m sensitive driver. I might have to check the math.

I would cross minimum 3000Hz at 2nd order acoustic slopes or greater.
