Im still new here, and though it could be interesting to hear how others out there calculates enclosure sizes. Would be great with examples (could use SCP 2.0 )
I use to calculate based on stepresponse.
Taking the ScanSpeak 18W/8531 as an example....
Fs: 28
Vas: 59 liters
Qts: 0.36
Qes: 0.39
Sd: 150cm^2
I would prefer a 25 liter enclosure, tuned at 28Hz.
Giving this StepResponse amplitude
No ringing in the amplitude.
Type the parameter in SCP to see the Frequency response, groupdelay and coneexcursion.
Basicly thats how i calculate (i meassure the TS myself ofcourse to get the right starting point).
I would like to hear how people in other countries do it.
(By the way, heres the stepresponse for a QB3 alignment (max flat) coursing ringing)
