Ultimate Open Baffle Gallery

Those Gradient always intrigued me.
If dipole cancellation is anything to go by, I fail to see how these speakers could produce any bass in the listener position with woofers pointed sideways....

I have heard Gradient Revolution (not these models) and their bass is pretty good. Surprisingly good. I wish their mids were as good.

I just came across these pictures of a pair of open baffle, line array, eWave speakers I built a number of years ago and I don't think I posted them here as I was more active on AK at the time.

Yes, but try look at Gradients own userguide. It says that the more you toe in the speakers, the more bass you get. They show an angle of 45 degree toe in, and to get more bass you need to toe even more in.

They also show a alternative solution with speakers completely against back wall. Here the speakers are not toed in.

I make open baffles, and experimenting right now. Believe me, there is no bass in the null, even in a room.

I posted , some time ago , some pictures of the Dragonfly OB set.
There has been some "evolution" of this system.
one of my design targets was : keep it cheap and possible upgrade later.
I'm making progress very slowly.

I'll do some pictures to explain :)

Hi Zilla,

I also enjoy the Beta 12LTA's thanks to your posts which are always a source of inspiration. I found these light weight craft eggs from Michael's to be a great fit for the Beta's phase plugs.

I did add a total of four screws to each egg which better hold them in place magnetically. Most craft stores carry them in two sizes but the size closest to a real egg is the one that fits.
