While attempting to clean what I thought was speck of dust from the grill of one of my 27TBFCs, it appears that there is a clear plastic disk covering the centre of the grid (on the inside)...???
I know my eyesight is on the way out, but I don't think it's that bad, can anyone confirm that theirs are the same?
I suppose this will make a difference to the dispersion if anyone removes the grid... (I'm still very happy with these drivers, not complaining).

The plastic lense or diffusor is there to lift the frequency response between 15 and 20kHz
Hi,
Not really. It improves the dispersion characteristics, which are very good.
