Has anyone used these or head them?
Any idea on crossover points?
they look like they will model well in a nice small 20ish Litre box with bass down into the low 50's, high efficiency and i read somewhere that the compression drivers were OEM's by Radian....
expensive @ around £500 a pair though...
Thanks

Check also (Vas=17L/95dBs SPL sharp) BEYMA 8XC20 coaxial loudspeaker and about the same size.
Note: bass-reflex cabinet, Vb=20 l, fb=62 Hz

Re: Re: Hemp CO8V Coaxial
From the pictures, the construction looks very P Audio.
Edit: still haven't heard back from Hemp with the questions and additinal data I asked for.
That would make a great midrange >150Hz or so in a sealed box.Inductor said:

The FR data on that sheet can't be correct. The sheet says 50Hz Fs, but on the FR graph the resonant point is clearly 80Hz.inrank said:they look like they will model well in a nice small 20ish Litre box with bass down into the low 50's, high efficiency and i read somewhere that the compression drivers were OEM's by Radian....

Hemp Acoustics...
although growing (pardon the pun, couldn't resist), is still a small operation and Perry pretty much answers email himself. So be patient.
I used WINlsd pro alpha and ended up with something completely different. Vas = 95 litres? I do own the newest version of the Hemp FR8C, but it is not as efficient, not a co-ax. The FR8Cs work nicely in a 20 litre box (see Hemp Acoustic site). That's what I listen to them in and the JE Labs OB modified.

I've been looking at thesefor a while, I might use these the mids/high range in a dipole design I've been working on for the past month or so. 2 15" dipole subs would be used for the lowend. Not sure if I'm ready to spent the $$$ i might try the FR8's and see how they work at 1/4 of the cost. I'm kinda waiting on some more feed back about the driver.

Tested in enclosure is not the same as free-air resonant frequency Fs.
