Maybe you are right. But I think it is in some sort of protection mode. The on/off freq pin is >3V meaning it is turned off.
This pin leads towards the CD40106B inverter IC. via some transistors. But without a schematic hard to debug. So stuck here.
Strangely enough 3V3 and 5V are OK. Think this is the reason I can update firmware, but not synchronize the software.

Something is keeping the power supply disabled. Disconnecting the LM2586 on/off pin turns on the +15V and -15V. So power supply is OK.
Big question now: What is disabling the power supply and why? It is getting only more complicated I'm afraid.
Checked USB, but still can't connect.
Guess I will just have to wait for miniDSP support portal to answer my ticket.
