Smile Hello from Melbourne Australia

I just discovered this forum and after having a week of lurking around I feel inspired to get back to my youth and start some electronics projects with Hi-Fi components.

I did a basic electronic course as a 17 year old [32 years ago] so I've since bought a soldering iron and I'm about to lash on a decent multi-meter then leap into the action again.

Part of my inspiration is doing a few basic kits with my 10 yr old son to hopefully give him an alternative interest in anything but an iPad, and the other reason is I picked up a rare [in Australia] old mid 80's Kenwood C1 control amp, which has some crackling interference when operating that I'd really like to fix.

Cheers

Andrew

Hi Andrew, and welcome to diyAudio!

Good idea with the ipad distraction! I'm also starting to get my daughter to try some soldering, and hoping for similar results

Tony.
