using ECC83 instead of 12AX7

Hi Everybody,
I am new ot DIY and this is my new post. I am a electrical engineer ( now retired and back to my old DIY hobby.I want to make a phono preamp using an ECC83 rom Philips. Can somebody suggest a good schematic fro the same. Any construction tips would be useful as this the first Valve project i'm trying out.

Hi,

ECC83 = 12AX7. Europian designation versud north american.

Lots of tubes with 2 (or more) designations.

Strictly speaking a genuine ECC83 should have a spiral-wound heater for low hum, as this is the European improvement which was made to the original 12AX7. Later NOS 12AX7 may have this feature too, while some modern ECC83 may lack this.

ECC83S/12AX7JJ vs ECC83MGjj

I have finally started off on my preamp project. Ordered pair of ECC83S/12AX7jj and a pair of matched ECCjjMG from Banzaimusic .com.
Any comments on the performance of these in the 12AX7 preamp or the 4S universal Preamp would be welcome. i am undecided which of these two I should go ahead with first. Any suggestions would be welcome.
