Hi, been lurking for a while but thought it was long overdue to register.
Quick intro.
Always enjoyed my home audio ( funds permitting) but got heavily into car audio in the mid 90's which became all consuming.
Retired out of car audio after becoming the UK amateur 3 sq sound of champion with a Clif / Xtant / Audio control pro killing system in a Punto GT.
Years of expense, mdf dust and late night's killed my interest in audio.
Well guess what?
Bought some Q35's a week ago and was really impressed.
Within 3 days, curiosity got the better of me and they are spread across my work bench.
The drivers are sweet, the crossovers look good but the KEF cabinets are awful.
My first stab will be to build some acoustically inert cabinets, so I will be hoping for some input and advice.
Oh ....... And I have a pair of unused 1998 Rockford Fosgate 4 ohm punch 8" subs.
Suppose it would be rude not to explore trying to fit these into the build.

Sounds like you are a bit like me. I tend to go full on for a time at something then completely lose interest. The audio bug though has a way of resurfacing
