Hello everyone, are the 6au6 and 6gn8 tubes suitable for a guitar amplifier? I was thinking of using the 6au6 as the input stage and the triode of the 6gn8 as the second preamp stage. For the power supply I have a 220 / 223v @ 100ma and 6.3v @ 1a transformer Could you help me with the circuit design?

ANY tube can be part of "a guitar amp".

The fat side of 6GN8 is only 5 watt dissipation, so max output will be like 5/12 of a 6V6 Champ, or say 2 Watts.

This stage needs only about 3.5V of bias and signal, much less than a 6V6 needs in a Champ. This implies you want -less- gain than a Champ. You propose a whole lot more with that 6AU6 in the front.
