I have actually stopped smoking since then. I am not much of a drinker either. The bottles are mainly for in case of emergency. Like serious physical injury or a chick at my house wanting to remain drunk or something like that. That picture was taken a few years ago (or at least 2 years ago) and those 3 bottles are still there plus an un-opened bottle of 15 year old Scotch.

In the past I did more than my share of drinking though.

That studio console is really good too. It is not even close to the best you could get if price were no object but it is by far the best you can get for the price IMO. You can even record without mic pre-amps with it. The power supply (non-switching) sits far away from the board which is really cool and for 24 tracks it is fairly small which is good in this little room.

That's an OR120 from around 1972 :)

I have another of the same vintage as well as the Matamp version. Sadly, both of those are out in the shed awaiting repairs. The Matamp has a blown mains transformer and I haven't got round to taking a look at what's wrong with the other Orange yet.

Awesome amps, but WAY too much horsepower for my "bedroom" studio. It's still fun to crank the Orange when the neighbours are away though (and not just the neighbours in MY street). :D

The old amp died, was made to work again, then half-died,

What's wrong? Can't you fix it?

when my exams are finished, I'll see if I can get some sound clips up...

I borrowed this POD machine (Line 6 - POD 2.0 - Guitar Multi Effects Processor) from a friend to record my music to PC with TERRIBLE results. Oh man, I'm too lazy to set up a proper recording rig. I'm breaking my word again, I'm a wretched man.

Bought this a few days ago...

It was £50.
Sorry about the picture quality.

The amp I'm using (just a temporary thing) is a 100w mixer amp, into a "normal" 1x12"+tweeter PA speaker. The cabinet is old and leaky, so I'll probably be rebuilding it and buying a more suitable bass driver (currently an Eminence Beta12A that I had lying around).

Hammond Model M3

Got this last Thursday, I suppose I paid a too much for it ($250), but it works 98 percent and the cabinet is in great condition. There are a few keys that don't play on a few harmonics, but overall it's got a great sound. The speaker uses a field coil for the magnet and filter choke - for some reason I was surprised to see that, it seems so "old-fashioned." I researched the model and serial number (after I bought it, of course...) it was made about the year I was born, and according to The Internet, the M3 model was used to record the '60's instrumental hit "Green Onions." As I posted elsewhere, I now have a sudden, desperate need for a Leslie speaker...

Bad case of GAS here, two strikes in two weeks.... first bought a Yamaha FS720 cause I needed a better acoustic, fantastic sounding guitar for less than AUD 400, the neck's a little thin, but I'll get used to it; went to the local guitar shop to buy a stand for it & came out with a J&D 5 string acoustic bass (Like the picture but all black) - this one's a monster - sounds great acoustically, great fun to play. The electronics aren't so good, I suspect they've jammed in a cheap guitar preamp & tuner, the tuner doesn't really work on the low strings, & it didn't sound that great through an amp, but I didn't play with the controls much. But pretty good value for AUD 320.
