I've been rooting around on the net for a few hours this afternoon, and just stumbled upon this:

Celebration of Life" for Siegfried Linkwitz, Sunday October 14, 1:30PM - 4:00PM, at the Mill Valley Community Center ,180 Camino Alto, in Mill Valley, 8 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Everyone is welcome!.

I'm sure it was well attended - for me the better ones of these I've been to had more smiles than tears.

Back in the 80s in my engineering, I first came across Linkwitz in my text books - Linkwitz-Riley crossover. I was really surprised to find him actively contributing to open source hardware/mind ware here on Diyaudio during the 2000s. It was an absolute pleasure to meet him in Burning Amp a few years back, top meet a man I knew through my text books! A very kind and generous man, freely giving us his knowledge.

May you Rest in Peace Linkwitz
