A very sad note this year ends on...
The ETF, no - the entire DIY community lost one of its most innovative and generous contributors.
My condolences to his family and friends, near and far.

R.I.P Jean-Michel

He gave so much more than he took...

I'm glad to have met Jean-Michel several times at the ETF. He was a source of inspiration, not only in his attributions but also in his approach. He sure does leave a footprint in the DIY community and will be missed by many.

I just read at Facebook , The Horn loudspeaker forum, that Jean Michel passed away. That took me with surprise. I will remember him as one of the most knowledgeable experts in horn theory, a true authority, which deserved when he was alive, and even more now, my respect and admiration. He was always kind, a true gentlemen, very polite and helpful. It was always a pleasure to read his posts and communicate with him. He will leave a hole in the DIY speaker builder community, which hardly will be replaced by someone else. My condolence goes to his family, and close friends.

Such very sad news indeed, and a great loss to all in the audio community. My memories of him go all the way back to the "Joe-net" days in the 1990s. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the 2004 ETF in Langenargen where he was a featured presenter. He has always been helpful and kind -- a true gentleman. May he rest in peace.
