Sad. I know he got lots of flak for his product philosophy, but it is hard to underestimate the number of people he provided with musical enjoyment.

R.I.P. Amar.

I remember when I installed a pair of 901's some university professor had purchased from our store and thought that they sounded pretty good at the time. But I have always been and omni freak....

He was a marketing genius who captured the imagination of technology lovers worldwide. His speakers didn't always win over audiophiles, but they allowed music lovers to listen where most audiophile equipment wouldn't fit.

RIP , ...at least I own a couple pairs of his early 901 speakers- representative of his original philosophy- before everything went downhill

First set of speakers I ever bought were Bose. I've since moved on a bit.

901s are really nice when I've heard them, but they ended up in that shift to the cheapest way possible, in terms of quality.
