My longest-lasting amp is one I built inspired by Leach's Low TIM Amp. I put it together from bits and pieces in 1979, and it's still around today, ugly but functional. It's not often that you get a great engineer and educator in the same package - a sad passing.

When the ones of influence pass away, one by one, you become to realise you are gradually fading yourself.
One wishes some never to depart.

Here's hoping that Georgia Tech will keep his personal webpages up and running. Perhaps DIYAUDIO could host them, or compile as a series of PDFs.

Seems a decade ago we had discussed the disappearance of the OnSemi/Motorola '8599 used in his amplifiers and I was able to source them.

A wonderful person that will be missed by many - and celebrated in memory of his designs and his sharing.
