Hello everyone!

I recently replaced a cable of my DT 770s. I decided to replace the broken stock cable with mini xlr-jack and a xlr-3.5mm cable.
I quickly realized that something is wrong after I did the modification. I keep loosing left side audio everytime I take the headphones off my head or wiggle the connector in my headphone end, however I can get the left-side driver to work again by plugging off the headphones from my amp and plugging them back in. The right side driver works always, initially I had problem with the left side driver, and thats why I did the cable change.

I'm baffled, could it be connector? Wire? Faulty wiring? Why do I get the sound back by disconnecting and connecting the headphones again?

Do you have any suggestions what could be the problem?
