I'm looking at this bluetooth board to drive some over-ear headphones and make some DIY aptx-ll headphones.
Every BT headphone I've ever used has either had background white noise when there is no input or some form of cracking/popping when the input goes idle. From the poorly translated aliexpress reviews, this apparently has neither.
But would I also need an amp to drive headphones?
