Nice work, Wineds! You can also put two electrolytic caps back to back (solder the minus or plus pins together) and bend the remaining pins with doglegs to fit in the holes temporarilly until your bipolar caps come in.

Bottom side has bypass caps all done with paste and hot air pencil:

Then through hole parts were quick and easy:

A very enjoyable build.

To do it using a conventional iron and solder (not so neat and time consuming):
Collin's Lab - Surface Mount Soldering - YouTube

To do it using solder paste and a hot air pencil (neat and fast):
SMD soldering by hot air (solder paste) - YouTube

You can also place on an old Teflon skillet or fry pan on a dormitory cook plate:
There is good tutorial here by Sparkfun

Recently I see people are using a layer of sand on the bottom of the fry pan to make the heat very even. I have not found this to be necessary and feel that sand might contaminate the PCB. But it would make the heat a lot less damaging if you did not monitor the temps carefully with an IR thermometer.

Basic steps for hot air here:
Surface mount soldering for the first time, using a hot air rework station - YouTube

Some of my tips here:
Soldering SMD components

Binocular magnifiers and good high quality tweezers are very important. Invest $20 in a pair of Swiss made tweezers. They are an extension of your fingers and good ones give you the control and precision needed. $4 ones can work too but eventually, you will find them to either bend, break, or not be precise enough.

I've asked about integrating circuits based on CS3310 above, seems putting everything in one box gets dicey re power supplies, EMI. . .

Here's an example, also includes 4-way input switcher and a remote
