Hey X. I have all the parts now but my building plans have been postponed for a bit until I get the new shop set up in our new house. All of my audio gear and tools are starting to work their way into boxes. But, I'm really excited about having a dedicated shop space. That should help shorten my project build times immensely. I promise I'll be back strong around April/May after the dust has settled.

I received my XO boards about a week and a half ago. As others have noted, impressive build quality.


I got them together and up and running in some ugly test boxes and they sound excellent.

Great, thanks for letting me know that they are working out well. I am finding all sorts of uses for these boards. They seem perfectly suited for a nice 2kHz crossover for an MTM with a pair of 6.5in Peerless woofers and 1in dome tweeter. I have a second inductor where a capacitor C104 once went.

I can’t believe I am down to only 4 boards left. Will have to order some more soon. The interest in this XO design has been greater than I anticipated - and that’s great.

I'm working on sourcing all the parts needed to build these speakers and I noticed your crossover BOM shows a quantity of 4 of the 2.2uF caps. When looking at the crossover schematics and a build of the crossover PCB, I see 3 of the 2.2uF caps being used per channel. Can you verify this?
I plan on building mine from laser cut 12mm BB plywood with .25" walnut added to the baffle for driver recessing.

Yes, there are three 2.2uF caps per XO. For the paralleled pair I used a single Sonicap 4.4uF in mine.
Your cabinet plan sounds great! I also love the look of Walnut. When the weather gets warmer, I’ll start my “real” cabinets. Although, I’m thoroughly enjoying the XPS foam prototypes

I'm doing the sealed version as the bed size is only 24" x 18" on the cutter. I'll be doing finger joints too.

Finished building the new XO's for the 10F/RS225 FAST TL's. Added an upgrade with a Miflex 0.1uF 600v cap across C1. These should sound fantastic.

Thank you Zman01! These XO boards are wonderfully adaptable. I have used them for 3 different speaker crossovers so far. Ideal for 1st order only or 1st+ 2nd order asymmetric XO.
