On Avondale's amplifier there is a series diode and resistor to drop voltage/noise. Why don't we use series zener for drop voltage. Is there any problem with zener like adds noise or something. Perhaps, does 1w zener can be good?
I want to drop 40v voltage 34v for pre part of amplifier.
