Thanks or the reply Jeff, forgot no bias pots to tweak, so at a nominal +/- DC supply of 24V, that puts the power dissipation in each device at about 32 watts or so - comfortable.
Can I ask , what device have you currently got in the CSS position and also have you measured the heat sink/device temps for the chassis you are using? ![]() |

Do you have them in hand? Do they measure as JFETs? Most fakes I've heard about have been BJTs labelled as a 2SJ109, which should be easy enough to test.
