Hi, Jeremy.

I've got a pair of Fritz Speakers' LS/5-R monitors (84dB, 4 Ohm) that are a wee bit power hungry. Do you suppose this new amp will have enough oomph for these speakers in a medium sized room?

Regards...

Mr. Esseguie

Well the min recommended power for that speaker is 50w, and at 4ohm this amplifier had more than twice that. It should work pretty good.

Neat amp.

Which measurement bandwidth did you use for your THD and THD+N measurements? It looks like 21.4 kHz. That means your measurements aren't valid past 5-6 kHz as you're not measuring much more than the fundamental and H2 at that point.

I'd also be interested in the THD+N vs output power and a measurement of the total noise (unweighted, 20 Hz - 20 kHz).

The measurement was taken with a motherboard (ALC1220). That was taken at 48khz (the program cut it off at 20KHz), and the 2nd harmonic dominates so changing it didn't seem to matter.

Same idea as NAD and PowerDrive.

How much watts? Only 1 watt?

Marty, the NAD is something very different. Their light bulb is used with the PSU, as a limiter to help transients at real high power happen.

And yes 1 watt.
