Hi X,
Do you have a part number for the NTC 8D-20 at Mouser? The best match I can find here is only a 3A (max) rated one. I will just have to add this to my Mouser order.
Regards, Kevin

P.S. BTW, is this essential, for the PSU?
P.P.S. Just found a 10R 6A thermistor, that should be fine not so?

Yes, we have lots of interest and I think it is because it is a very general and useful tool to have in one's Class A toolbox. I have implemented the single board dual rail SLB in a typical 25w Class A amp (the M2X) and using a 300VA 32v Antek, am able to get +/-25.4Vdc rails (a tad over 24v nominal spec but that's actually good as you get a bit more headroom. Will take some measurements soon but so far, all is quiet and no sign of hum.

Everyone is all paid up - thank you! Just need info from Ermine22 what he wants to do about using credit he has on previous GB.

Hi X,

I have a Moth 30 RIAA amplifier I want to rebuild at some point. Would a slightly scaled down version of this project be good enough to power it, viz. with 6800uF or max. 10 000uF caps? It draws a maximum of 1 A @ +24 V & -24 V. The other option of course is to power it with 4 12V SLA batteries.

Sure, 1A at +/-24 is no chump change. That’s almost as much as one channel of a Pass Class A 25w amp which typically draws 1.25A. 48W dissipation in the amp output stage is quite a lot. You could use 6800uF of course but 15000uF caps are not expensive and might as well get 50v ones so the PSU is good for higher voltages on the future.
