Interest for Final GB for F5X Power Amp

pjkaka2020 has not been active in the last 6 months.
So I assume he is no longer with us, for whatever reasons.

The one from Passive420 goes to auro.
If you want an extra case you will need to discuss that with CeeVee during the case GB (to come).

There is then still one open for subscription.
Or Stefano can have the spare PCB set and the case and we keep the unobtainium FETs.

:)

Patrick

The GB, as the previous two, is for one set of parts for a stereo amp (2 channels) which include :

matched FETs
complete PCB sets
matching case

You said by PM you want to have 2 monoblocks.
That means you want two cases, or no case ?
If you are only interested in amp PCBs then please wait till after this GB.
This time we want to support the complete project for one last time, as we did before.
The other PCBs are only useful if you have matching mechanical parts.

Many Thanks for your interest,
Patrick

Patrick,

that`s correct. An extra set of PCBs to repair the whole stereo system if it ever breaks.
I had a few smoked F5T mosfet boards during my experiments...
BTW, I think I sent another message which did not pass the moderator (too similar).
The case is very very nice. If somebody backs off and you end up having an extra case, then count on me.

Thanks

Stefano

An update for the GB at Easter.

Although it has been quiet, quite some work has been done in the background.
We have now an agreement with CeeVee, who will take over the supply for the case completely.
The heatsink extrusions will be supplied by us and are the same as previous batches.
They will be shipped to the EU in May, so will arrive in August.
The workshop will start with the other parts in June after a 30% case down payment is received.
Expected complete delivery is November 2019.

We have all matched JFETs and MOSFETs ready sorted and packed.
So we can supply those with PCBs at any time we choose.
There is no point send them too early if you have to wait 6 months for the case anyhow.
So perhaps we shall send those off around August. Unless you all cannot wait.

Please kindly reconfirm your interest here, and send me your email address by PM.
We shall then give you access to a separate private forum specially set up only for this GB.

The limit is still 10 subscribers plus 1 on waiting list.

Enjoy your Easter holiday,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Pardon my enthusiasm, but is there any news about this GB?

The heatsinks have not yet arrived.
So you have not been asked for down payment for those.

The FETs are all sorted, ready to ship.
I shall be in Hong Kong end of November, so shall organise PCBs and shipment those & FETs then.

You can make a start by going through the F5X thread and F5X Build thread.
There are tons of information to digest.
Nothing has changed or will change. All are well proven.
So all the documents from GB2 still applies.

If there are technical questions please ask at those threads.

Thank you for bearing with us,
Patrick

The 20 heatsink extrusions have finally, after almost 6 months, arrived safely in the EU.
We are therefore ready to proceed with the GB.

We shall update you with regard to the PCBs and the matched devices within the next week.
The aim is to ship those beginning of December.
So likely to call for payment before last week of November.

A separate GB thread will be created for the case GB.
This will require a pre-payment before the workshop can start machining.
It will not be run by the XEN team, but my our dear friend CeeVee.
He is most certainly doing this for the love of DIY, if you know how much trouble it is.
And his gorgious work you can see here (this one his own design) :

Please keep an eye for the next days.
If you are no longer interested, please let us know so that we can give the chance to someone else.

Many thanks for your patience,
Patrick
